Built for aggressive trail and All-Mountain riders who demand both efficiency and descending confidence, the MY27 FOX FLOAT X receives a comprehensive internal update to deliver even greater performance, sensitivity, and tunability. Designed to bridge the gap between lightweight trail shocks and full-gravity dampers, the latest FLOAT X brings enhanced traction and control while maintaining the pedaling efficiency riders expect.
For MY27, the FLOAT X features a new monotube architecture paired with a high-flow main piston assembly, dramatically improving oil flow through the damper. The result is increased small-bump sensitivity, improved mid-stroke support, and enhanced rear-wheel grip—bringing its ride feel closer to that of flagship long-travel suspension systems while maintaining the compact, efficient design ideal for modern trail bikes.
Durability and ride refinement have also been upgraded. A new, more durable MCU bottom-out bumper assembly improves performance on hard hits while increasing long-term reliability. An updated top-out bumper reduces noise and harshness, creating a smoother and quieter suspension feel throughout the travel.
The MY27 FLOAT X continues to offer intuitive, rider-friendly tuning. Tool-free adjusters provide 11 clicks of Low-Speed Compression (LSC) and 16 clicks of Low-Speed Rebound (LSR), allowing riders to quickly fine-tune suspension behavior for changing terrain and riding styles. A clickable two-position Firm mode switch offers efficient power transfer for climbing and sprinting, without sacrificing the shock’s descending capability.
With bearing mount compatibility on both sides, the FLOAT X integrates seamlessly with modern frame designs, reducing friction at the mounting hardware and improving suspension responsiveness.
Combining lightweight air-spring performance with a highly refined damper, the MY27 FLOAT X delivers the versatility, control, and durability demanded by today’s most capable trail bikes.
